Beach Stones
Acrylic, texturing and collage on standard-depth canvas; size 60cm x 50cm (24 x 20 inches). Close-up views of beach pebbles, each one different in colouring and composition. Small collage elements were included to give pattern to the large red stone, while varied layers of gel and acrylic paint were used to make the front grey pebble. In the top corner, sand was used to indicate the beach, with a few translucent paint layers for seawater. Finished with an ultra-violet light-protective varnish. Currently unframed.
