Original acrylic painting on standard canvas, 24 x 20 inches approx. (60cm x 50cm). The intricate structure of a leaf was the subject for this painting; using its complex network of tiny microscopic cells and the colours of autumn to create an abstract image. Many lines have been produced in gold paint, to give the impression of illumination by daylight. Other areas have fainter and darker lines. The black holes are areas of damage to the leaf.
