Chesil Beach
Chesil Beach
Acrylic and texturing on MDF panel, size 30cm x 30cm (12 x 12 inches). The sweep of Chesil Beach in Dorset is famous for its graded pebbles, which have been sifted by Nature according to their size. The beach is a ten-mile long ridge near Portland Bill, with a curve down to the edge of the sea. People fish from the beach and it is a popular walking area. In this painting, real sand has been used with acrylic medium and gesso to form the pebbly ridge, making a unique painting with texture you can feel.
