Autumn Spectrum
Original acrylic painting on three standard-depth (20mm) canvas panels; overall size 72cm x 30cm (28 x 12 inches approx). A range of autumn colours, from deep mauve-black through to dazzling yellow-white. The bands have been carefully painted to allow each colour to visually glide into its neighbour. Vertical application of paint gives subtle striations, imitating the lines found in light spectra of all kinds. Touches of gold metallic have been included, along with two slender bands at left; with others merging into the darkness on the right. This painting can also be hung vertically. Unframed.
